Job summary

Sonos, Inc. is offering a Software Engineering Intern position on the Partner Engineering team in Boston. This 11-week program runs June 7–August 20, 2027, and requires onsite presence at least 4 days per week.

You’ll pair with a mentor and contribute to real software that ships to customers across embedded and mobile areas. You’ll work on a scoped project, learn how a professional team designs, tests, and ships software, and present your results to the team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field with graduation Spring 2027–Spring 2029.
• Coursework or projects in C/C++ (embedded) or Kotlin/Swift development.
• Solid fundamentals in data structures and algorithms; good problem solving.
• Experience with Git and eagerness to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Own a scoped intern project from design to implementation with mentor guidance.
• Implement features/bug fixes in embedded C/C++ or mobile Kotlin/Swift.
• Debug real-world issues using logs, traces, and reproduction steps.
• Participate in code reviews, ceremonies, and quality practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and product management to deliver reliable work.
• Help maintain and improve integrations with music service partners.
• Present work to team and stakeholders at internship end.
