Job summary

Sonos is seeking talented students for a 11-week internship in Seattle, July through August, working 40 hours per week onsite. As a Software Engineer intern, you’ll contribute to embedded software, services, and mobile app features, collaborating with teams across hardware, product, and UX to deliver high-quality systems.

You’ll gain hands-on experience solving real problems, using modern CI/CD tools, and applying machine-learning/AI data insights to improve products.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a College or University with a preferred field of study in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated proficiency writing code with one or more of the following: Swift/Kotlin, C/C++, Java, Python.
• Familiarity with version control such as Git.

Responsibilities

• Work on cross-functional team to design and build product features and capabilities.
• Contribute to embedded software development for multi-room audio processing, networking, and security.
• Develop new services and APIs to control the Sonos system within a smart home.
• Enhance mobile apps to enable users to control and listen to audio content.
