Job summary

Metis Technology Solutions Inc. seeks a Software Operations Engineer to bridge software development and operational infrastructure. You will design, automate, secure, and maintain CI/CD, AWS infrastructure, container environments, and tooling across the software lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and scripting in Python and Bash, with a focus on reliability, security, and scalable automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in software engineering, DevOps, software operations, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting production CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, maintains, and improves automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Develops and maintains CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise/GitHub Actions.
• Designs, provisions, configs, and maintains AWS infrastructure.
• Automates infrastructure provisioning, system configuration, and deployments with Ansible and related tools.
• Deploys, configures, and troubleshoots containerized apps using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develops Python and Bash scripts to automate provisioning, deployments, and monitoring.
• Integrates security and code‑quality tools into development workflows.
• Maintains Git workflows and collaboration practices across teams.
• Supports monitoring, logging, and incident response for reliable operations.
