Job summary

Metis Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Software Operations Engineer to bridge software development and operational infrastructure at Moffett Field, CA. You will design and automate CI/CD pipelines, manage AWS infrastructure, and ensure secure, reliable deployments.

You will work with developers, data engineers, and system admins to streamline provisioning, monitoring, and incident response, applying best practices in security and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, maintains, and improves automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Develops and maintains CI/CD workflows using Jenkins and GitHub Enterprise.
• Designs, provisions, configures, and maintains AWS infrastructure.
• Automates provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operations with Ansible and other tools.
• Deploys and troubleshoots containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develops Python and Bash scripts to automate provisioning, deployments, and monitoring.
• Integrates security, vulnerability, and code-quality tools into pipelines and workflows.
• Works with teams to resolve build, deployment, and runtime issues.
• Maintains Git/GitHub workflows and collaborates using Jira/Confluence.
