Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a Software Integration & Test Engineer in Moorestown, NJ to support U.S. Navy Aegis Weapons System projects. You will perform system-level software integration in a lab, run both manual and automated tests, assist with software loading, and troubleshoot distributed components in a controlled environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 2–4 years’ related experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 2–4 years of experience in software integration, system test, or software engineering in a controlled environment.
• On-site work in laboratory environments and support testing outside standard hours.
• Experience reading production code (C/C++, Java) and scripting (Python).

Responsibilities

• Understand system architecture and pub/sub messaging flows.
• Analyze production code to support integration troubleshooting and testing.
• Develop and execute system-level integration test procedures from requirements.
• Identify, reproduce, and document integration defects; capture logs and traces.
• Develop automated regression tests using Python; diagnose failures and root causes.
• Create utilities and scripts to enhance testing, automation, and diagnostics.
• Install and integrate subsystem software builds into lab environments; run tests with hardware and simulators.
• Maintain lab operability and provide hands-on support during integration and testing.
• Plan lab resource usage and coordinate activities; collaborate with developers and engineers.
• Support integration events outside regular business hours as needed.
