In-Depth Engineering Corporation in Manassas, Virginia, is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to support the AN/SQQ-89 Undersea Warfare Combat System for the U.S. Navy.

This full-time, on-site role coordinates software deliveries, develops and tests Linux scripts, and assists with patches in a simulated tactical lab environment. Candidates must be a US citizen and able to obtain an active DoD secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years Linux terminal experience.
• Strong Linux command-line and editing skills.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools.
• BASH or scripting language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

Software Integration Engineer – Manassas, VirginiaFull-time & on-siteSalary range: $84,000-105,000In-Depth Engineering seeks a Software Integration Engineer to support our AN/SQQ-89 Undersea Warfare Combat System program supporting our U.S. Navy customer. Engineers are responsible for addressing a variety of software, hardware and infrastructure issues related to integrating a complex system of subsystems and functional capabilities in a simulated tactical lab environment.This is a permanent, full-time position and the work will be performed on-site in Manassas, Virginia.Candidates for consideration must be a US citizen and have or be able to obtain an active Department of Defense secret clearance.Duties:Coordinating and performing software deliveries to our customer.Developing and testing a variety of convenience scripts to ease navigation within a Linux command-line system.Supporting testing efforts by our software development team, ensuring the system is properly configured and ready for testing, as well as assisting with applying appropriate patches to the system for testing.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related major -OR- 5+ years of practical experience in a similar environment.2+ years of experience utilizing Linux terminal skills.Strong Linux skills, including the movement of files between servers, proficiency in utilizing Linux text-based editors, and familiarity with application performance monitoring using top and other Linux command-line tools.Familiarity with Configuration Management tools is required.
