Job summary

Captivation seeks a senior software integration engineer to act as the primary customer-facing operations contact, triaging requests, gathering requirements, and providing standby support for mission-critical tasks. Candidates must hold a TS/SCI clearance with favorable polygraph and U.S.

citizenship. Required are 8+ years in software integration in Linux environments, strong scripting, CI/CD, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of experience in software integration and support in a heterogeneous OS environment.
• Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government clearance with favorable polygraph; U.S. citizenship required.
• Degree substitutions permitted as described in the description (master's or certifications).

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary customer-facing operations point of contact for integration tasks.
• Triaging requests, gathering and scoping technical requirements, providing standby support.
• Support mission customer with ad-hoc critical thinking requests as directed.

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software integration engineer who shall serve as the primary customer-facing operations point of contact, managing request triage, gathering and scoping technical requirements, and providing standby support for ad-hoc critical thinking requests as directed by the mission customer.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
• The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.
• An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience.
• A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.

Required Skills:

• Experience with Linux CLI
• Experience writing scripts using Shell/Bash/Python
• Linux administration experience including software integration, service management, configuration management, and routine sustainment operations related to provisioning, storage, and networking.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages in a Linux environment
• Experience with stream/batch Big Data processing and analytic frameworks including Spark
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience deploying containerized services under Kubernetes orchestration
• Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
• Experience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration

Desired Skills:

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
