Job summary

Captivation is seeking a senior software integration engineer to serve as the primary customer-facing operations contact, coordinating requests, scoping technical requirements, and providing standby support for mission-critical tasks.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, U.S. citizenship, strong Linux, scripting, CI/CD, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and a proven track record delivering integrated software in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen with Top Secret/SCI clearance and favorable polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of related experience integrating and supporting software in heterogeneous environments.
• Five years of related work if degree is substituted; 8+ years total experience.
• Master's Degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Professional certification may substitute for 1 year of experience.
• Experience with Linux CLI and scripting (Shell/Bash/Python).
• Experience with CI/CD, GitLab CI, IaC (Ansible), Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Triage and scope technical requirements for mission programs.

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software integration engineer who shall serve as the primary customer-facing operations point of contact, managing request triage, gathering and scoping technical requirements, and providing standby support for ad-hoc critical thinking requests as directed by the mission customer.

Requirements

Security Clearance: Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
• The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.
• An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience.
• A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.

Required Skills

• Experience with Linux CLI
• Experience writing scripts using Shell/Bash/Python
• Linux administration experience including software integration, service management, configuration management, and routine sustainment operations related to provisioning, storage, and networking.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages in a Linux environment
• Experience with stream/batch Big Data processing and analytic frameworks including Spark
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience deploying containerized services under Kubernetes orchestration
• Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
• Experience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration

Desired Skills

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
