Job summary

PlusAI, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Integration Engineer to lead validation and verification efforts for our autonomous driving stack, focusing on planning or embedded MCU tests, and to collaborate with engineering and operations on closed-course testing programs.

You will create end-to-end software test plans, execute tests, diagnose errors in Linux, ROS, C++, and Python, and generate tooling and documentation to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Robotics.
• 2+ years of experience creating and executing test plans for software and hardware systems.
• 2+ years of experience with robotics, automotive, or autonomous vehicles.
• Experience debugging Linux, ROS, C++, and Python; identify failures caused by sensors.
• Programming skills in Python, C++, and Bash.
• Willingness to travel to test sites near San Antonio, TX and around the country.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of closed-course autonomous vehicle system testing.
• Create V&V plans and develop test matrix based on product requirements to thoroughly test autonomy software on-vehicle.
• Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot software errors, including working with Linux, ROS, sensors, actuators, and various log data.
• Work with engineers to determine how to test different parts of the autonomy stack and report back test failures to management.
• Organize and execute field testing to test autonomy software on-vehicle in various environments including closed course.
• Execute the test cases based on release milestones.
• Support development of either the planning stack or the embedded safety MCU
• Generate documentation and back-end tooling to improve operational efficiency

We're looking for an experienced software integrationengineer to leadValidation & Verification (V&V) efforts at Plus by conducting hands-on testing of our autonomous driving stack, with a particular focus on our planning stack or safety rated embedded MCU .
