Job summary

PlusAI is seeking an experienced software integration engineer to lead validation and verification efforts for our autonomous driving stack. You will conduct hands-on testing of the planning stack or safety MCU and work with engineering and operations to implement closed-course vehicle testing programs.

Your role includes creating end-to-end test plans, developing tooling and documentation, and ensuring test execution aligns with release milestones across multiple test sites in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Robotics.
• 2+ years of experience creating and executing test plans for software/hardware systems.
• 2+ years of experience with robotics, automotive, or autonomous vehicles.
• Experience debugging system behaviors in Linux, ROS, C++, Python; identify failures from hardware sensors.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of closed-course autonomous vehicle system testing.
• Create V&V plans and test matrix based on product requirements for on-vehicle autonomy software.
• Identify and diagnose software errors across Linux, ROS, sensors, actuators and log data.
• Collaborate with engineers to test autonomy stack components and report failures to management.
• Organize and execute field testing in diverse environments including closed course.
• Execute test cases aligned with release milestones.
• Support development of the planning stack or embedded safety MCU.

We're looking for an experienced software integrationengineer to leadValidation & Verification (V&V) efforts at Plus by conducting hands-on testing of our autonomous driving stack, with a particular focus on our planning stack or safety rated embedded MCU. In this role, you will also worktogetherwith engineering and operations teams to develop and implement closed-course vehicle testing programs.Your responsibilities will includecreating and executing end-to-end software test plans for autonomous driving, supporting development on either the planning or MCU teams, and generating tooling and documentation to improve operational efficiency.

• Support development of either the planning stack or the embedded safety MCU

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Robotics
• 2+ years of experience creating and executing test plans for software and hardware systems.
• 2+ years of experience working with robotics, automotive, or autonomous vehicles.
• Experience debugging system behaviors in Linux, ROS, C++, and Python, and identifying software failures caused by hardware sensors.
• Programming skills in Python, C++, bash
• Willingness to travel to test sites near San Antonio, Texas and around the country.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience working in testing Autonomy or ADAS applications.
• Previous experience in Validation and Verification at an autonomous vehicle company.
• Previous experience testing large vehicles in defense, mining, construction, or agriculture.
• Experience with autonomous driving compute systems, sensors and communication protocols.

$125,000 - $175,000 a year
