Job summary

The City of Syracuse is seeking a Systems Trainer to join the Digital Services Team. The role reports to the Director of Digital Services and works with API, IT, and the CIO to modernize city technology and improve service accessibility for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include managing software upgrades, developing project plans, creating training materials, and coordinating across departments. Strong knowledge of public administration and change management is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with software implementations and project management.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements and office administration.
• Ability to work with diverse governmental and external stakeholders.
• Experience writing RFPs and contracting with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Support meetings with potential partners regarding consolidation of IT services.
• Create project plans for migration of IT services and modernization efforts with timelines.
• Develop training and requirements documentation for software conversions and train staff.
• Actively manage project risks and compliance requirements.
• Manage software implementations and upgrades across departments.
