Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah seeks a Software Eng Group Head II to lead a multi-disciplinary software team, drive full lifecycle development, and advance cabin management systems in a fast-paced, aerospace environment.

You will set objectives, review progress, mentor engineers, collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders, and ensure on-time delivery of robust software across C++, C#, and Java stacks with DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Engineering or related curriculum required.
• 13 years engineering experience.
• 8 years specific technical discipline.
• 5 years supervisory or broad managerial responsibility.
• Position leads a multi-disciplined group of engineering employees and manages complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers unit schedules, tasks, and deliverables; sets performance requirements and monitors budget.
• Manages personnel; conducts performance appraisals and staff development.
• Establishes objectives supporting short and long-term goals.
• Conducts briefings for senior management and technical meetings with internal/external contacts.
• Advises subordinate supervisors to meet schedules and resolve problems.
• Leads project teams and cooperates across disciplines.
