Job summary

OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Software GNC Engineer with experience in guidance, navigation, & control and C/C++ programming. Final Secret clearance is required. Travel up to 5% for planning activities.

You will design, develop, document, test, and debug software for missile/space applications. The role requires strong math skills, documentation ability, and collaboration in a fast-paced team, with opportunities to work on GN&C hardware suites and

Qualifications

• Broad technical skills such as rigid body dynamics, control theory, and/or computer programming.
• Proven experience using MATLAB and/or Simulink for simulation and analysis of feedback control systems, closed loop guidance, or navigation algorithms.
• C/C++ programming experience
• Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and/or coordinate transformation.
• Ability to clearly document analysis results in presentation slides and engineering memos
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Experience with CORESIM
• Experience with flight software development and autocode to C++ and Python
• Experience with kinematics using Euler Angles and Quaternions
• Experience with autopilot design and linear stability analysis
• Familiarity or experience with missile defense systems or fire control
• Experience with C++ development, Linux and Gitlab
• Experience with Docker/Container and Kubernetes deployment
• Experience with FORTRAN and 6DOF simulation
• Knowledge/experience with GN&C control theory and physical modeling related to spacecraft and/or missile systems
• Familiarity with a GN&C hardware suite for space or missile applications
• Experience going through a spacecraft or missile program life cycle encompassing requirements generation, design, analysis, integration, verification, and testing of the GN&C subsystem for missile or space applications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic collaborative team environment
• Demonstrated good communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors, and customers.
• Familiarity with agile software development

Software GNC Engineer OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor, is seeking applicants for Software GNC Engineer to support our customer in Huntsville, AL. Summary The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of guidance, navigation, & control, as well as, programming languages such as C or C++. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require Final Secret government security clearance prior to starting. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Travel up to 5% to Huntsville for Planning activities. Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
