Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Software/Firmware Engineer to contribute to development, testing, and support of high-speed serial communication IPs. You will work on firmware/software for SerDes and data conversion, refactor legacy code, and build regression suites using gtest in a Linux environment.

The role emphasizes debugging across hardware and software, CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

BSEE/MSEE/PhD with industry experience as listed.
Proficiency in C/C++ with threading and network programming.
Experience with Linux systems, kernel modules, and Jenkins CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain firmware/software for SerDes and data conversion IPs.
Refactor legacy software for performance and scalability.
Develop regression tests using gtest to ensure robustness.
Evolve software infrastructure to support next-gen hardware.
Debug firmware/software on hardware with lab equipment and RTL simulations.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Linux, and Bash.
