Principal's Global Equity team seeks an experienced Equity Analyst to cover the U.S. software sector. This high-visibility role partners with portfolio managers to generate differentiated investment insights and influence decisions across multiple strategies.

The candidate will build detailed models and deliver written and verbal insights. Requirements include 5+ years of equity investment experience, preferably buyside, with strong software sector knowledge and a track record of adding value

Qualifications

5+ years equity investment experience, preferably buyside.
Mid- and large-cap software sector research and investment experience.
Proven track record of adding value through proprietary analysis.
Experience leveraging AI-enabled research tools for idea generation and due diligence.

Responsibilities

Provide research coverage across US software sector.
Generate investment ideas and communicate insights through reports and presentations.
Build and maintain financial models forecasting company performance.
Interact with management and stakeholders to gather differentiated insights.
Collaborate with portfolio managers to drive outperformance across strategies.
Maintain coverage within software for multiple portfolios.
