Job summary

Pivotal Solutions is seeking an Equity Analyst to join its U.S. Equity Team in New York. You will research IT sector names, build models, and contribute to investment theses and recommendations for U.S. equities in collaboration with the Senior Analyst.

You will develop earnings analyses, monitor industry developments, and prepare investment materials for portfolio managers in New York and Tokyo. Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• CFA designation or progress toward CFA is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and multi-cultural environment with NY and Tokyo teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental, bottom-up research on IT sector companies.
• Build and update detailed financial models (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Analyze quarterly earnings, guidance, SEC filings; compare to expectations.
• Perform company- and industry-level research using disclosures and data sources.
• Develop investment theses, target prices and stock recommendations with Senior Analyst.
• Contribute IT sector commentary to daily notes for portfolio managers in NY and Tokyo.
• Support ESG evaluation framework and other research processes.
