Job summary

Bloomberg Engineering’s training team is hiring to empower nearly 9,000 software engineers with practical, hands-on learning. The role emphasizes teaching, collaboration, and building training tools that scale across teams.

Candidates will lead sessions, review code, and help design engaging curricula. A genuine passion for learning, teaching, and explaining complex systems to groups of 20–60 is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in CS, engineering, maths, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong programming background in at least one core language (Python/JavaScript/C++).
• Proficiency in another language (Python/JavaScript/Java/C/Rust/Golang) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of classes for experienced software engineers, primarily in person with video, mentoring, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with teams to define structure, content, and delivery for high-quality training.
• Gain deep knowledge of Bloomberg technologies and stay updated on new developments across teams.
• Own the complete lifecycle of training tools from needs assessment to coding, deployment, and maintenance.
• Build strong relationships across teams to meet goals.
• Remain humble and use feedback to improve.
