Position Summary

The Software Engineer Supervisor works in an agile team environment to develop and document software for PRC-Saltillo's communication devices and support tools. This role will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in researching and implementing AI and other future-looking technologies in our software products.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Mentors other members of the software team, including technical and administrative supervision of other engineers' work.
• Reviews software strategy with engineering management and other engineers to ensure final products are safe for the end user and follow good engineering practices.
• Works with product managers and other software engineers to turn ideas into working software for dedicated hardware and personal computers.
• Investigates and corrects bugs in existing software.
• Writes clear, annotated, documented code that follows team coding guidelines for maintainability.

Education and Experience

Required:

• B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, equivalent degree, or relevant work experience.
• Experience supervising or mentoring others.
• At least six years (or ten years for senior role) experience in Python, Java, and/or C++.
• Experience with machine learning and natural language processing.
• Experience with software and product systems design and programming.
• Experience with deep learning, computer vision, TensorFlow and/or PyTorch, SQL, NoSQL, vector databases, version control (especially Git), and agile development environments.
