Job summary

Salesforce is hiring Database Distributed Systems Software Engineers to design and implement scalable database features for highly concurrent, distributed systems. You will own work end-to-end, from architecture to monitoring, with a strong emphasis on transaction management and data consistency.

You will build database services on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and contribute to the roadmap of core database technologies while participating in on-call rotations to ensure service reliability.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• 7+ years of software development experience in large-scale, database-intensive, distributed applications.
• Deep knowledge of database transaction management, including concurrency control and distributed transactions.
• Experience designing database applications for high-volume data operations, including query tuning and performance analysis.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or PL/SQL with systems-level focus.
