Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a backend Java engineer to design, build, test, and operate distributed edge services. You will contribute to Edge Control plane automation and Edge Intelligence analytics, balancing reliability with rapid feature delivery across cloud environments.

You will work on resilient, scalable services, champion automation, and contribute to documentation in a fast-paced, agile setting at Salesforce.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience required.
• Deep knowledge of object oriented programming, preferably Java.
• Strong background in distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Experience with container orchestration and microservices.
• Familiarity with telemetry, monitoring and operational excellence.
• Experience with open APIs and data processing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and operations of Edge Control plane and Edge Intelligence services.
• Deliver reliable, self-healing, scalable backend systems in the cloud.
• Balance live-site management with feature delivery and debt retirement.
