Medtronic is seeking a senior software engineering leader to guide architecture, design, development, testing, and sustainment for complex medical device software. This role coordinates across sites to meet regulatory requirements and release milestones, while driving continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

The candidate will plan forecasts, manage budgets, and ensure robust, compliant software solutions for current and future products, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years
• Strong knowledge of medical product software development, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance
• Experience leading software engineering for real-time, hardware-integrated systems
• Experience with Agile software development
• Ability to travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering teams across architecture, design, development, testing, and sustaining activities.
• Plan releases, manage risk, defects, and cross-functional collaboration.

The system involves advanced mapping techniques to create detailed images of the heart's electrical activity, helping physicians identify abnormal areas causing arrhythmias.
