Medtronic is seeking an Industrial Engineer I to join our Brooklyn Park manufacturing team. You will support continuous improvement initiatives, analyze processes, and implement efficiency improvements that reduce waste and enhance throughput in a highly regulated environment.

You will work with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to drive data-driven decisions, standardize work, and optimize layouts for safer, more productive operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing processes, workflows, and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to increase throughput and reduce costs.
  • Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, and labor utilization studies.
  • Assist in facility layouts, equipment utilization, and material flow optimization.
  • Develop and implement standardized work, visual management, and process controls.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams.

Partnering with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams, you will analyze processes, identify opportunities, and implement improvements that increase productivity, eliminate waste, and deliver sustainable business results in a highly regulated environment.Leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies, you will support improvement projects, facilitate process analysis, and help drive positive change across the organization. Through the application of tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, DMAIC, and data analysis, you will help improve process flow, standardize processes, and strengthen a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
