Squarespace is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Payments team in New York. You will lead engineers, drive delivery of payments infrastructure, and partner across Product, Design, and Operations to align on strategy and compliance.

You will report to the Engineering Director for the Financial Solutions Group and help scale the organization while delivering high-impact initiatives that affect thousands of merchants worldwide.

As Engineering Manager for the Payments team, you will lead a talented group of engineers in building and scaling the infrastructure that powers Squarespace's payment ecosystem. You will be responsible for driving delivery against key company and department goals, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements, and providing the technical leadership needed to push critical initiatives forward. Partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Design, and Operations, you will set the technical direction for your team while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on Squarespace's revenue growth and the experience of merchants around the world.

You will report directly to the Engineering Director for the Financial Solutions Group. This position is a hybrid role located in our New York office.

Cash Compensation Range: $185,500 - $299,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure in addition to base salary.
