Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager III to lead the Health Records engineering team. You will mentor engineers, define technical strategy, and partner with Product, Security, and Platform teams to deliver secure, scalable health data platforms.

You will guide ingestion, processing, and governance of health record data from external ecosystems, ensuring regulatory compliance and robust operational excellence. Boston-based role with relocation supported.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale backend systems and distributed platforms in production environments.
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and developing senior engineers and technical leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to define technical strategy and deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, APIs, and operational excellence.
• Experience building secure systems that manage sensitive customer or healthcare data; familiarity with healthcare standards such as FHIR is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to partner effectively with Product, Design, Data Science, and executive stakeholders to align technical investments with business outcomes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction across organizational boundaries.

This role is based in the the company office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $215,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.

In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.

These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
