Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Boston, MA is seeking a Software Engineer II (Full Stack) to build key growth features and ship high-impact experiences. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering peers to improve acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention.

You’ll develop frontend apps with JavaScript/TypeScript and React, design RESTful APIs, and work with PostgreSQL in a fast‑paced, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience building production web applications.
  • Proficiency in web development using JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.
  • Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills in an iterative, data-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to design, build, and ship full stack features that improve member acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention.
  • Develop and maintain frontend applications using modern web technologies.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize APIs and infrastructure supporting our acquisition funnels, e-commerce experiences, and membership growth experiments.
  • Break down feature requirements into actionable tasks, prioritize work, and consistently deliver on sprint commitments.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve the reliability, quality, and maintainability of the platform.
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborate on best practices with your engineering peers.

The Growth team is responsible for accelerating member acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention through rapid experimentation and thoughtful product development. As a Software Engineer II (Full Stack), you will build and maintain the experiences and services that power the company’s growth initiatives, working across the frontend and backend to deliver high-impact features that directly influence member and business outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and fellow engineers in a fast-paced, experiment-driven environment where iteration, measurement, and continuous improvement are core to how we build.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work within a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to design, build, and ship full stack features that improve member acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention.

QUALIFICATIONS

2-4 years of professional software engineering experience building production web applications.

  • Proficiency in web development using JavaScript/TypeScript, and React
  • Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for building high-quality, user-focused products in an iterative, data-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and design teams.
  • A growth mindset and eagerness to learn from feedback and new challenges.

This role is based in the the company office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 - $175,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.

In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.

These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
