Software Engineering Manager, Core Services - Apple Services Engineering

Position Overview: Lead the engineering team responsible for the online content system central to Apple Services Engineering. Develop solutions that enhance NoSQL data stores, focusing on scalability and performance, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver innovative features.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with scalable web services and multi-team collaboration.
• Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Expertise with NoSQL data stores such as Solr, Elastic Search, Redis, Memcached, Cassandra, Voldemort.
• Proficiency in Java or other JVM/functional languages like Clojure.
• Proven leadership in complex engineering projects from start to finish.
• Experience in team leadership, hiring, and performance management.
• Ability to set a vision, see the big picture, and guide team growth.
• Hands-on technical leadership, mentoring, and motivating engineers.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and product discussions.
• Attention to detail and ability to switch contexts across projects.
• Effective collaboration with engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders.
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science with at least 10 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
