Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Software Engineering Manager in the United States to lead the internal core software development team. You will provide architectural guidance, drive agile practices, and collaborate with product teams to deliver AI-enabled software across releases.

You will mentor engineers, manage risks, and build a high-performance organization across multiple sites. A BS in engineering is required, with advanced degrees a plus, and semiconductor experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software sustaining or software development.
• 5+ years of direct management, project and technical leadership, and/or team leadership experience
• Deep, daily experience with Generative AI tools and a proven track record of using them to increase team throughput
• Experience in the semiconductor industry
• Strong organizational and project management skills, cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to mentor and grow team members and set clear goals
• Agile software development experience a plus
• Full product life cycle experience from concept to customer support a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural and technical guidance in development and oversee delivery of ATE software
• Lead an agile team in designing, implementing, and testing core software features for releases
• Proactively manage and mitigate technical risks
• Review and implement processes including CI objectives and quality metrics
• Set goals aligned with strategy; coach and mentor to achieve them
• Foster product & AI-first culture; promote candor, accountability, collaboration
• Mentor team; support career development and training
• Hire and grow new talent across multiple geographic locations
• Manage team across locations and ensure staffing aligns with business needs
