Job summary

Google Kirkland is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Cloud SQL for SQL Server team in building and growing the managed SQL Server service on GCP. You will guide engineers to evolve data protection, migration, integration, and core engine features for the service.

The role requires leading a high-performing team, partnering with Product Management, UX, and other engineering teams to drive a robust product roadmap and scalable cloud database solutions for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

• Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers.

• Participate in design, architectural and operational decisions from definition to delivery.

• Experience with building and scaling enterprise database services.
• Experience with scaling and performance tuning of high scale/low latency systems.
• Experience with software development in building full-stack applications using one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, C/C++, Go, or Python.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
