Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to guide teams building ELERA: AI-native tooling and an agentic platform for end-to-end delivery in a FAANG-aligned operating model. The role spans first-line manager to senior manager scope, inviting strong tech leads moving into management and seasoned managers leading large groups.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in software development with leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong background shipping production systems at scale and able to discuss with senior engineers.
• Leadership experience, including hiring, performance management, and proactive development.
• Working knowledge of Agile, SDLC, and CI/CD in a deployment environment.
• Ability to move between architecture and execution in fast-paced settings.
• Proven track record leading through ambiguity and recovering from incidents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; succinct status updates and executive-ready trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and execution: manage milestones, sprint tracking, risk, and quality.
• Team leadership: hiring, performance, compensation, career development, and tough conversations.
• Technical fluency: contribute to design reviews and partner with Principal Engineers on standards.
• Product reality: know the architecture, backlog, customers, and market performance.
• Production support: own escalations and meet SLAs.
