Base pay range

$180,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Software Engineering Manager

Remote Opportunity: Candidates will work CST/EST hours

Compensation: $180-200k base + equity component + unlimited PTO

Our client is a fast-growing health tech startup dedicated to building innovative products and scaling infrastructure from the ground up. We're looking for a hands-on technical leader to tackle projects ranging from dev ops to bug fixes to new product builds. Initially, you will have three direct reports. Strong communication skills are essential. This role reports to the CEO and will eventually serve in a senior director or VP capacity as the company grows.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of engineering leadership in a fast-growing company, ideally a SaaS healthcare startup.
• Experience building a team of high performers.
• Expertise in Serverless Framework, SQL Server RDS, AWS Lambda, S3, NodeJS, React, .NET 6, C#.
• Preference for experience or interest in tackling U.S. healthcare interoperability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead system architecture decisions to balance feature development and long-term tech investments.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines to reduce deployment times.
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS.
• Mentor the engineering team.
• Define milestones and track roadmap progress, incorporating customer feedback.
• Lead daily standups, maintain backlog hygiene, and exceed sprint metrics.
