Base pay range

$170,000.00/yr - $230,000.00/yr

• Software Engineering Manager required for consumer tech marketplace
• Privately Held Company | Profitable | NYC HQ
• $180-230k + Equity + Great Benefits
• This can be a 100% Remote Position OR Hybrid in New York City.

The Company

Our client is a leader in the consumer marketplace industry. Now seeking a talented Software Engineering Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in management and will be responsible for managing and leading a diverse backend-leaning/full stack engineering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

Responsibilities

• As Engineering Manager you will manage, coach, and support your engineering team
• Manage a team ranging from junior engineers to senior staff level
• Partner with Product, Marketing and Design teams
• Help implement effective engineering processes and policies
• Work with talent to source and hire amazing engineers
• Build a high performing and positive work environment based on transparency and trust
• Promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace
• Ensure best practices are followed for software development including code reviews, architecture discussions
• Conduct regular performance reviews

Qualifications

• 3+ years' of management experience, 5+ years of software engineering experience (ideally as a Full Stack Developer)
• Looking for someone to lead a more backend leaning team so experience with Golang would be great!
• Extensive experience in TypeScript and Web Development, with a deep understanding of its best practices, advanced types and performance optimization techniques.
• You have experience growing, coaching, mentoring and providing feedback to the team
• You are passionate about people
• You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
