Work Model: You’ll work in a hybrid model, onsite at your designated Regal Rexnord location at least 3 days per week (Monday–Thursday), with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days, including Friday.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead product planning, technical execution, and team leadership for our servo drive development teams. In this role, you will shape firmware priorities, coordinate product roadmaps with Product Management, and guide major software efforts from concept through release. Based at our global headquarters in Radford VA, this position offers a hands‑on, team‑oriented environment. We emphasize continuous improvement and agile development to create products known for quality and features. We design products with the depth and flexibility advanced controls engineers need, while keeping them approachable for engineers who are earlier in their careers. This role sits at the center of a cross‑functional engineering environment where firmware, tools, and product direction must stay aligned. You will work across the organization to turn business needs into well‑executed products. This is a strong fit for someone who likes both technical depth and leadership: someone who can make sound product decisions, guide teams through complex work, and stay engaged in the technical choices that shape software used in demanding industrial motion applications. Required Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required.
• 10+ years of software development experience required.
• 5+ years of software leadership experience (project or people leadership) required.
• Experience working with embedded software teams required.
• Software Product Leadership: Ability to own backlog flow, feature planning, and cross‑team execution.
• Technical Leadership: Proven ability to guide software teams on architecture, product direction, and major project execution.
• Planning and Prioritization: Ability to coordinate priorities between Engineering, Customer Support, and Product Management while keeping technical execution on track.
• Communication: Clear communication with engineers, managers, application engineers, and product stakeholders.
• Decision Quality: Good judgment in tradeoffs, scope, risk, and execution timing.
• Team Leadership: Ability to align teams, remove blockers, and maintain progress on important work.
• Learning Agility: Ability to learn products, customer use cases, and business context quickly.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• Experience in industrial automation, motion control, or related products strongly preferred.
• Motion control or servo drive product experience.
• Industrial control systems experience.
• Experience as a firmware product owner, software manager, or technical program leader.
• Experience leading software teams through organizational change.

Work Type

Hybrid: This role follows a Hybrid Work Schedule requiring a minimum of 3 in‑office days per week, Monday through Thursday, at your designated Regal Rexnord office, with the option to work remotely up to 2 days per week, including Friday.

Pay Transparency Language

Expected Base Salary Range: $100,000–$155,800

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
