Job summary

SpaceNav seeks an Engineering Manager in Boulder, CO to mentor and lead a growing software team delivering mission-critical spaceflight software. You will shape engineering strategy, align stakeholders, and drive delivery of high-quality systems.

You will foster continuous improvement, implement Agile/Scrum practices, manage roadmaps, and build training programs while partnering with DevOps and cloud services (AWS) to ensure reliable, scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer or electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field.
• 5+ years’ relevant engineering experience.
• 3+years’ experience in a technical lead/engineering management position.
• Experience guiding agile teams on how to use Agile/Scrum practices.
• Experience with cloud services, such as AWS.

Responsibilities

• Improve existing software development processes and procedures, ensuring consistent standard and best practices across multiple product development initiatives.
• Help create long‑term roadmaps while ensuring short‑term sprint objectives are met.
• Develop and administer technical training and certification programs to enhance the skills and expertise of the team.
• Work with engineers from other disciplines to develop software requirements and support design artifacts
• Help foster a positive and inclusive team culture.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $145,000 per year.
