Job Description Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of talented software engineers in the development and delivery of innovative healthcare technology solutions. This role combines technical leadership with people management, focusing on fostering a high-performing team and ensuring the successful execution of product roadmaps.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable and robust software applications in a healthcare environment.
- Work closely with product management, UX/UI, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Drive technical excellence, ensuring adherence to coding standards, architectural best practices, and security guidelines.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development planning for team members.
- Actively participate in the hiring, onboarding, and retention of top engineering talent.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and technical roadmap for the engineering organization.
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and impediments to project progress.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in architecting and building complex applications.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring software engineering teams.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Expertise in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript) and associated frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the healthcare technology industry is a plus, but not required.
