Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Sr. Developer to join our team in Wilmington, DE for a 7‑month contract. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java J2EE applications, applying Agile practices, CI/CD, TDD, and cloud development principles to deliver secure and scalable software.

The ideal candidate has deep Java/J2EE expertise, hands-on delivery experience across the software lifecycle, and a collaborative mindset to work within cross-functional teams and modern DevOps environments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and J2EE across the development lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

We are seeking a Sr. Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java J2EE application development, Agile delivery, and modern DevOps practices and a proven ability to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve secure, resilient software.

• Working proficiency across software engineering disciplines, including analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with application resiliency and security best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud-native tooling and deployment environments.
