Job summary

Samsara in San Francisco, CA is offering a software engineering internship across our connected operations platform. You will work on backend ingestion, data storage, full-stack UI, and embedded software projects, collaborating with product and design to deliver real customer value.

We value curiosity, independence, and collaboration. You’ll join teams using Golang, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and React Native, with relocation assistance and a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Currently a junior-year student on track to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science between Spring/Summer/Fall 2028 or Winter 2029.
• This internship is hybrid: 3 days per week in our San Francisco, CA office. Relocation assistance is available.
• This internship is a full-time, paid experience - interns are expected not to be enrolled in school full-time while working at Samsara.

Responsibilities

• Assist backend infrastructure powering our IoT platform, scaling data ingestion and storage for thousands of assets and customers.
• Contribute to full-stack development, creating intuitive UI to turn data into actionable insights.
• Work across embedded software projects including edge AI and real-time data processing.
• Engage with product and design to rapidly iterate on features that deliver customer value.
