Job summary

Aerotech, Inc. in the Pittsburgh area offers a paid Software Engineering Internship or Co-op in the Precision Automation and Robotics evolution.

You will join either the Enterprise Development Team or the Application Development Team and gain hands-on experience by performing the same day-to-day tasks as a full-time, entry-level engineer. The program combines learning with practical project work, mentorship, and collaboration with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, or Information Science from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Must maintain a GPA of 3.25 or above.
• Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors planning graduate school or current graduate students may apply.
• Strong understanding of geometry, calculus, and data structures is a plus.
• Proficiency in an object-oriented language (C++, C#, Java) is expected.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship; OPT/CPT not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Develops new or modifies existing enterprise, library, or application-level software under supervision.
• Debugs software problems related to Aerotech or third-party software.
• Conducts tests to verify new features and validate use cases.
• Documents and organizes test results for review by senior engineers.
