Job summary

C.H. Robinson is seeking a software engineer intern to contribute to building and enhancing proprietary systems used by thousands of users worldwide.

You will work with frontend and backend technologies, learn from senior engineers, and apply modern AI and automation tools to deliver real business value. This role is based primarily on-site in MN, IL, or Kansas City with four days on-site and one remote day per week, offering hands-on experience across RESTful services, React/Redux, C#.NET Web

From day one of your 2027 summer internship you will have hand-on, meaningful responsibilities that will challenge you and require out-of-the-box thinking. Opportunity:

• Work with teams that build and support the technology solutions driving our business
• Develop solutions for a platform built to handle sudden shifts in the logistics market and a diverse range of customer needs
• Learn from an experienced engineer who will train you on our systems, explain our business, and introduce you to leaders throughout the organization
• Leverage multiple technologies to build full stack applications that include RESTful web services and responsive UIs using Continuous Integration and a Continuous Deployment pipeline. Our technologies include, but aren’t limited to the following: Frontend interfaces in HTML/CSS/SASS, JavaScript, and React/Redux; Backend services in C#.NET Web.API; SQL Serverdatabases; and Jenkins andGithub for CI/CD.

Required Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of software and application design, and development and project management principles
• Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related area

Compensation Range

$15 - $30 per hour

The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
