Job summary

Target is seeking passionate software engineering interns for a 10-week summer program in Minneapolis. The role offers hands-on experience, mentoring, and exposure to real projects focused on scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.

Interns will contribute to code reviews, R&D on new technologies, and architectural discussions while learning from experienced engineers. The internship starts Summer 2027 with an hourly rate of $34.00, and includes benefits and programs to support employees

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in Computer Science/Networking/Computer Engineering program (or related technical discipline).
Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly.
Demonstrates problem solving and coding abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of services.
Participate in research and proof-of-concept initiatives for new technologies.
Assist with code and design reviews; write and maintain code per designs.
Deliver high-performance, scalable, and secure deliverables with guidance.
Resolve technical issues and monitor systems capacity with minimal help.
Collaborate with team and contribute to engineering projects.
