Job summary

RTX is seeking a student with a strong foundation in C programming to contribute to the full life-cycle development of electric power distribution systems. You will work in a team environment, engaging in requirements, design, verification and certification tasks to meet aerospace standards under DO-178B/C guidance.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in STEM and have completed at least 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op.

What You Will Do

Work in a team environment, sometimes including remote team members, engaging in full life-cycle development (plan, requirements, design, verify, certify/qualify) of electric power distribution systems, typically done in C, and certifying to aerospace standards (DO178B/C is typical, Design Assurance Levels A to C)

What You Will Learn

• Software development processes including DO-178
• Respect for, and compatibility with, a structured development process where well-documented requirements, designs, and test procedures
• Knowledge of Collins secondary distribution products

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
