Job summary

Centro Escolar University is offering an internship role in Needham, MA for students pursuing a BS/MS in computer science or engineering. You will design, develop, and debug C applications on multi-core Linux systems while handling high-throughput data and contributing to HPC and electronic trading technologies.

The ideal candidate will have coursework in DS&A, OS, assembly language, performance engineering, and networks, a 3.0+ GPA, and experience in Python/Java.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Engineering, CS, or related field (Sophomore standing or higher).
• Completed coursework in Data Structures & Algorithms, Operating Systems, Machine Structure & Assembly-Language, Performance Engineering, and/or Networks & Protocols.
• GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Relevant programming experience in internship or academic settings demonstrating strong engineering skills.
• Ability to read and write C code.
• Familiarity with Linux Bash/Shell environment.
• Experience developing Python or Java applications.
• Strong technical skills and willingness to expand coding knowledge.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment.

About You

The company is looking for candidates with:

• Pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with Sophomore standing or higher.
• Successful completion of courses related to Data Structures & Algorithms, Operating Systems, Machine Structure & Assembly-Language, Performance Engineering, and/or Networks & Protocols.
• At least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Compensation & Benefits

• Anticipated hourly rate of $42.00/hour, subject to candidate experience and qualifications.
