Job summary

RTX in McKinney, Texas seeks motivated students to join us as interns or co-ops in software development. You will support the full software life cycle for military and commercial programs, from concept through integration and testing, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team onsite.

Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor's or higher program and have at least 60 credits before start. Experience with object-oriented programming and real-time software is preferred; familiarity with Visual

What You Will Do:

• Support all aspects of a software development life cycle as members of a multi-disciplined team. This would include supporting new and legacy military and commercial programsfrom concept and requirements, to design, development, integration, test, and potentially subsequent maintenance tasking.
• Use creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
• Works closely with Systems Engineers to design ideal solutions with the end user and operational needs in mind.
• Work onsite at McKinney, TX [relocation eligible]

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline and actively enrolled through completion of the internship/ co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co‑op session.
• Experience in object‑oriented programming.
• Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real‑time software applications

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
