Job summary

Ryan’s internship program invites students to collaborate with seasoned tech professionals on software projects for the Unclaimed Property practice. You will help develop, test, and enhance applications using .NET, C#, React, TypeScript, Azure, and possibly Python, taking ownership of tasks with guidance.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle, participate in code reviews, and work with a team to solve real problems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, AI, or related field.
• Anticipated graduation date within one year of internship.
• Minimum overall and major GPA of 2.8.
• Minimum of 6–12 technical credit hours depending on practice.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and handle ambiguity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced technology professionals on software engineering projects supporting Ryan’s Unclaimed Property practice.
• Assist in developing, testing, and enhancing software applications and features using .NET, C#, React, TypeScript, Microsoft Azure, and potentially Python.
• Take ownership of smaller development tasks from start to finish with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and testing to improve application functionality and performance.
• Work closely with team members to understand project requirements, contribute ideas, and implement technical solutions.
• Gain hands-on experience throughout the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, and deployment.
• Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving to develop technical skills and knowledge.
