Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Engineering student progressing toward an engineering degree.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build a network.
• Diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn.
• Good understanding of software development using C/C++ and Python on Linux OS.
• Some Windows experience.
• Understanding of multi-threading and multi-processing concepts.
• Preferred: embedded driver development on Linux (TCP/IP, UART, I2C, PCIe, etc.).
• Preferred: Git, Jira, defect tracking tools, peer code reviews, and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with and assist engineers on various engineering assignments.
• Carry out basic work instructions to understand Company fundamentals and learn new things.
• Conduct limited-scope testing under engineer supervision.
• Complete assigned tasks on time.
• Gather and assemble data for engineers.
• Assist with research in a particular field as needed.
• Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under engineer supervision.
• Assist engineers with appropriate design details.
• Perform varied tasks to gain familiarity with engineering staff, methods, programs, and practices.
• Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the organization’s mission, values, and culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
