Job summary

SWBC’s SWIVEL division is seeking talented Computer Science students for its College Intern Program. The role offers full‑time and part‑time paid internships across software engineering teams, with placement based on interest and schedule flexibility.

Interns will gain hands‑on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to develop skills in full‑stack development, microservices, and modern web interfaces within a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related program at an accredited university/college.
  • Experience with C and/or C# or JavaScript preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with building systems to interface with SWIVEL clientele and tools to eliminate repetitive tasks.
  • Work alongside a software engineering team as part of their team and gain exposure to the Financial Services Industry.
  • Learns key technical skills to apply acquired knowledge and assist in problem solving.
  • Gains practical, hands-on experience that will provide an opportunity for growth.
  • Shadow team members while expanding knowledge and developing skills.
  • Assist with adhoc projects.

Job description

SWIVEL, an SWBC software technology company is seeking talented Computer Science students to join our College Intern Program. This is an exciting opportunity for college students who are motivated and eager to learn within their educational field of study. Interns will gain practical hands‑on experience and training that will provide an opportunity for growth, learning and development within the financial services industry. Full‑time and part‑time paid internship opportunities will be available in numerous software engineering teams. Interns will be placed within a specific team based on interest, experience, academic coursework, SWIVEL’s business need, and flexibility with college/university schedule.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related program at an accredited university/college.
  • Experience with C and/or C# or JavaScript preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills required.
  • Detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills.
  • Organized and adapt well to change.
  • Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced, deadline driven environment.
