Buildertrend in Omaha, NE is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for the summer. You will design, develop, test and maintain features for Buildertrend's platform, collaborating with engineers, PMs and QA to move ideas to production.

You will gain real engineering experience, ship code, and learn how software moves from idea to production, while using AI tools to accelerate coding and receive mentorship from senior engineers.

Formación

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• Available to work full-time onsite for the full summer.
• Experience with AI tools in coursework or projects or strong interest to learn how to use them effectively.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test and maintain software applications that support Buildertrend's platform.
• Partner with Software Engineers, Product Managers and QA to take features from concept to release.
• Write clean, well-documented code using languages and frameworks within Buildertrend's tech stack.
• Build and improve features that directly impact how customers manage their projects.
• Participate in code reviews to strengthen your code quality and learn from senior team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with guidance and mentorship from Senior Software Engineers.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Use AI-assisted development tools, including Claude, to accelerate coding, debugging and problem-solving workflows while still being responsible and accountable for the quality and accuracy of your work.
• Complete assigned tasks and projects within established sprint timelines.
