Job profile summary
This Software Engineer independently designs, develops, tests and maintains workflow and data-centric applications for Wealth Brokerage and Trust. The role combines professional software-engineering discipline with low-code delivery, Python development, process automation and ontology modelling.
The engineer translates business concepts such as clients, accounts, households, assets, transactions, cases, requests, approvals and items requiring attention into governed data objects, relationships, actions and workflows. Solutions must support explainable decisions, auditable processing and controlled human intervention.
The role is not ungoverned citizen development. It requires deliberate architecture, reusable components, source control, testing, deployment discipline, access controls, monitoring, support readiness and clear ownership.

Professional delivery of applications, forms, rules and automation using approved platforms, with ALM, reusable components, testing, support and governance.
Workflow and casework
Process states, work queues, assignment, SLAs, approvals, escalations, exceptions, human tasks, controls, evidence and operational measurement.
Ontology modelling
Business objects, properties, relationships, actions, lifecycle states, semantics, lineage, permissions and reuse across applications and analytics.
Python
Production-quality transformation, validation, enrichment, automation, rules, services and testing with packaging, logging, security and maintainability.
SQL Server and data
Relational data, querying, data quality, reconciliation, authoritative sources and integration between operational systems and workflow solutions.
Ability to build or collaborate on coded APIs and services where low code or Python is not the correct implementation choice.
Microsoft Azure
Use of approved identity, PaaS, APIs, messaging, secrets, monitoring, storage and deployment capabilities supporting workflow solutions.
Integration
Consumption and publication of APIs, messaging, batch and SFTP interfaces, including validation, failure recovery and source-to-target traceability.
Controls and security
Role and attribute-based access, action permissions, segregation of duties, sensitive-data handling, audit history and evidence generation.
Wealth domain
Brokerage and Trust concepts including clients, households, accounts, assets, transactions, cash, servicing requests, reviews, approvals and exceptions.

The annual base salary for this position is $100,000 - $145,000.
The annual base salary in Charlotte is $108,000-$149,000.
