Job summary

SV Tech Systems seeks a Software Engineer with PERL experience in Jersey City, New Jersey for a 6+ month engagement. The ideal candidate will have heavy financial industry experience, excellent communication skills, and client-facing experience.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, system design, software development, and technical documentation within the full software development life cycle. Required are 3+ years enterprise app development, 3+ years SQL Server or Oracle, PERL

Qualifications

• Heavy financial industry experience required.
• Strong expertise in Fixed Income Attribution technologies.
• 3+ years of enterprise application development.
• 3+ years database experience (SQL Server or Oracle).
• Scripting preferably PERL.
• Experience with Tidal and Perforce.
• Excel for reconciliations and ad-hoc analysis.

MUST HAVE HEAVY FINANCIAL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE and MUST HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNCIATION SKILLS. CLIENT FACING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 3+ Years Database Experience, SQL Server preferred, Oracle
• Scripting preferably PERL.
• Tidal (or relevant job scheduler)
• Perforce (or relevant source control system)
• Excel (Must have for reconciliations reports and ad-hoc analysis, power pivot would be a plus)

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Database modeling experience
