Wallet in New York, NY or Menlo Park, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to build backend services powering Wallet products with a focus on security and scalability.
You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver reliable crypto trading and DeFi features, using Go, Python, or Java in a cloud-native stack, with in-person collaboration at least 3 days a week.

We work closely across multiple engineering and design areas to deliver highly reliable, high-performance systems for customers worldwide.
As a Software Engineer, you will build and own the backend services, infrastructure, and data systems that support the company Wallet products. You will develop new features and system enhancements to deliver a highly secure and efficient trading experience for cryptocurrencies and tokenized stocks, including perpetual futures, to customers worldwide. In this role, you will design scalable architectures and maintain high-quality codebases. You will also collaborate with other engineering teams to guide key technical decisions and raise our team's engineering standards.
This role is based in our New York, NY or Menlo Park, CA office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$166,000 — $195,000 USD
Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)
$147,000 — $172,000 USD
Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)
$130,000 — $152,000 USD
