The Software Engineer VI will work with technical teams to create software solutions that use prevailing technologies and improve the customers' experience while adhering to business and technical requirements. Develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support business initiatives.

WHAT OUR SOFTWARE ENGINEER VI ENJOY MOST

• Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Participates in the design of dependent systems, e.g., APIs, clients, data stores, CI/CD Pipelines.
• Designs and implements new functionality that is testable and performant with no oversight or guidance.
• Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel.
• Understands the technical organization's vision and goals and applies this understanding to assist in creating the organization's roadmap.
• Analyzes and evaluates different products in the market, identifying their pros and cons.
• Proactively maintains knowledge of technical and industry standards.
• May develop software independently to overcome roadblocks, proactively identifying and assessing their impact.
• Triages escaped defects and leads RCA activities.
• Resolves system integration issues.
• Leads triage of critical production issues and manages hotfixes.
• Uses time and resources effectively, prioritizes work, and manages multiple tasks without oversight.
• Closes technical debts and visualizes technology roadmaps.
• Provides LOE on multiple interconnected projects or an Epic.
• Responsible for technical requirements and design documentation.
• Prepares deployment artifacts for operations.
• Enforces usage of approved code patterns and best practices.
• Identifies performance improvement opportunities.
• Improves application performance, scalability, resilience, and high availability.
• Collaborates across teams to solve technical problems.
• Showcases projects or features to senior leadership and the business.
• Mentors Software Developers I-V and participates in candidate interviews.
• Builds effective relationships within and outside their team.
• Provides technical consulting and acts as a SME.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 4-6+ years in database management, software development, and methodologies.
• Education: BA/BS in IT, CS, or related, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of major programming languages, coding, environments, containerization, APIs, data stores, design patterns, and architecture.

Skills: Proficiency in programming, environment setup, system integration, performance optimization, and project management.

Abilities: Strong problem-solving, communication, and independent working skills, with the ability to document and explain technical work clearly.

Travel & Schedule: Office environment, full-time.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in telecom, ASOG standards, Salesforce (LWC, SFDC, APIs, Cloud), and related methodologies.
• Experience in Salesforce implementations, data migration, and integration.
• Knowledge of Agile, data management, and large-volume data handling.
